What Parents Are Saying
“Before tutoring, my son couldn’t sit still for 10 minutes. Now, he’s reading for fun and feels proud of himself. Thank you!”
– Parent of a Grade 2 student with ADHD, Regina, SK
“We wanted our daughter to become fully bilingual, so she attended our local full-day French school. However, she struggled with English reading and spelling. Ms. Anabel’s approach made all the difference for her. We helped our daughter review new words that Ms. Anabel identified as challenging for her. This was the only homework Ms. Anabel assigned. We are thrilled to see our little girl with more confidence in reading. She is no longer afraid to spell.”
– Parent of an 8-year-old at École Francophone, Sarnina, ON
My son was reading well, but his spelling was far behind. We enrolled him in Ms. Anabel’s classes, where she quickly identified his key areas of weakness. She introduced new material clearly, explained the meanings of difficult and unfamiliar words, and used dictation to help him put those rules to the test. He has quickly become a much stronger speller— his teacher has commented on the improvement. Thank you so much for all your help, Ms. Anabel!

Our 7-year-old son had been struggling with reading, and when we received his Acadience scores from school, we learned he was performing well below the expected level for his grade. Since working with Ms. Anabel, we’ve seen real progress. His reading has improved greatly, and his grades are up. We will gladly recommend Ms. Anabel to our friends.
– Parent of Grade 2 student, Winnipeg, MB
Our 9-year-old daughter was struggling with reading below grade level and, although not officially diagnosed with a learning disability, her reading speed was low. Ms. Anabel assessed her and identified the specific areas that needed attention. She has classes two days a week to learn the rules and another two days focused on reading. After a year, her reading speed has improved significantly. We’re very happy with the progress she’s made and look forward to seeing how she continues to grow next year.
– Parent of a Grade 4 student, Edmonton, AB
Ms. Anabel worked with my twin daughters (age seven) to improve their reading and grammar before the new school year. She was patient, knowledgeable, and made learning enjoyable. The girls learned about adverbs, pronouns, and punctuation and went on to earn excellent grades. We’re so proud of them and so grateful for her help!
– Parent of a Grade 2 student, Richmond, BC
Our son was in Grade 9, but his reading and writing skills were closer to a Grade 4 level. Since starting lessons with Ms. Anabel, we’ve seen remarkable improvement. She quickly identified the areas he struggled with, such as spelling, punctuation, and reading comprehension, and created a plan to help him.
What really stood out to us was how sensitive and patient Ms. Anabel was with him. He was initially reluctant to participate in writing or to write in front of his friends, but she made him feel comfortable and confident, which encouraged him to take part and learn. Her approach helped him gain confidence and take pride in his work.
Through daily lessons that included phonics, decoding, reading, and dictation, he has become a more fluent reader and a much stronger writer. We’re very pleased with his progress and highly recommend Ms. Anabel to any parent looking for a tutor who understands and motivates their child.

Our daughter is in full day French school, and although we helped her read books, she was struggling to spell in English. Enrolling her in Ms. Anabel’s classes was the best decision we made. Ms. Anabel assessed our daughter, found the areas that needed attention, and created a clear action plan. Within eight months, her spelling improved significantly, and she gained the confidence to start writing on hew own. We are so grateful for Ms. Anabel’s expertise and encouragement.

We moved to Canada in May 2022. Our son was 6 years old and he could not speak English. We met Ms. Anabel. She cannot speak our language. She told us we can help translate until our son learns more English. She showed him pictures and the sounds of letters, and he learned very fast with the worksheets she made. Then she teach him how to sound out words and some English rules.
He is with her more than 3 years now, and his grades is very good. We like this way for children who learn new language.
– Parent of a Grade 3 student, Vancouver, BC
We are so grateful for Ms. Anabel and the incredible progress our 7-year-old son has made over the past year. When he started at 6 years old, he had limited knowledge of letter sounds, and he is now decoding words exceptionally well. His teacher has also noticed improvements. About eight months into the program, she commented that the English rules he is learning with Ms. Anabel seem to be transferring into his French work, and his understanding in French has improved as well.
Additionally, Ms. Ms. Anabel is very mindful of his short attention span. She allows him to move around, do pull-ups on his bunk bed, and play with fidget toys. As long as he is completing his work, she does not mind his movements. This approach has kept him engaged and motivated throughout his lessons.
